It happens that the device seems to be good for everyone, but it still lacks something. For example, individuality in terms of lighting. Gaming peripherals have long stepped over the technological frontier – customization and design sometimes decide no less hardware when assembling a dream computer. This is what HyperX was guided by, releasing an update to the gaming Alloy Elite line.

HyperX is the Kingston division of gaming accessories and supplies. HyperX is a fairly young brand in today’s market of gaming peripherals. The HyperX Alloy Elite RGB is a gaming keyboard of a premium class that is considered by many professional esports players and casual users as one of the best 2017-2018 models. It contains absolutely everything that a gamer or an ordinary user may need.

Technical characteristics

Kingston keyboard has the following characteristics:

  • Number of keys: 111 + volume control
  • Button type – mechanical;
  • Macro recording – present;
  • Key Rollover: N-key
  • Dimensions – 475x260x63 mm;
  • Package contents: palm rest, additional buttons, tweezers for changing keys.

  • Cable: braided, non-removable, 1.8 m
  • Dimensions: 44 x 22.7 x 3.6 cm

The design of the box is made in the tradition of the gaming segment – bright printing with a large image of the device itself. HyperX Alloy Elite belongs to the class “skeleton” according to its design, that is, the mechanisms of the buttons protrude half outward. The entire top panel below the keyboard unit is a solid 1mm thick brushed metal sheet. It is this detail that makes the keyboard extremely durable. All other elements are made of matt black plastic. The device comes with a convenient removable palm rest. The surface of the stand is made of soft-touch plastic. There are six feet on the underside of the keyboard. Two of them are retractable and are used to change the angle of the keyboard.

All additional keys are membrane. The location of the buttons of the numeric block, arrows, and editor keys is also standard.

The indicator area is almost entirely used for the HyperX logo. A small channel separates buttons from the main block of keys, into which a translucent strip with RGB backlighting is very well inscribed. There are three indicators. All of them are located in the right corner of the keyboard above the numeric keypad. As in other models of the manufacturer, there is no Scroll Lock indicator.

There are two additional blocks above the main keys. There are three buttons responsible for turning on / off the backlight in the left corner, switching profiles, and turning on the game mode. In the right corner, there are four media control keys and a wide volume control wheel.

This type of keyboard has the following advantages:

  • Flexible RGB lighting;
  • Nice Cherry MX switches;
  • Full USB port;
  • Excellent fixation on the desktop;
  • Support for macros;
  • Laser engraved keys with uniform illumination of symbols.
